"In August of
2009, I traveled to the far North to Taloyoak, Nunavut
with my good friend Brian Cluff. He wanted to show me
first hand how the Inuit people live off the land and
just how beautiful and rugged Northern Canada's Arctic
really is.

We spent 10 days on the Tundra
- accompanying the Inuit as they hunted and fished –
gathering their food stores to help sustain them through
the up and coming winter. What I discovered is that
although we have a different history, different
tradition and lifestyle, we also have so much in common
that we share.
On our last evening together
while camping out on the land, I wrote this song for my
new found friends and recorded it in our tent.
I dedicate this song to my
"Northern
Brothers"; John
Porter, David Nanook, Gideon Nannuq, Johnny Tucktoo Jr.
, Mark Lyall, Chuck Pizzo-Lyall, Simon Tucktoo and
especially Brian Cluff, “Tuniq” is his given Inuktitut
name, which means "Big Man". Thanks for taking
me on the trip of a lifetime.
Sincerely, Jeff ........“Amaruq” (Inuktitut- meaning "Wolf")"
